Kodcentrum and partners engage kids with code!   

Do you want to make a difference and help kids understand code? 

Kodcentrum is a non-profit organization that works towards a future where all children will get equal opportunity to try out coding and digital creativity. 

Kodcentrum is partnering with sponsors and inviting 140 kids to a hackathon on the 19th of September, for an interactive workshop in coding. We will introduce them to basic coding while having lots of fun – as it is Kodcentrum’s 9th birthday! 

We’d love to have you there too! We need volunteers who would like to help out with some basic block programming during the practical part of the workshop, which will be held in Kista. Your role would be to mingle in the room and make sure that the kids have understood the coding and are having a fun time.  

Skills needed:

• Basic understanding of programming 

  • We will help you with the specifics for the workshop, so you don’t need to be an avid coder to help out 

• Speaking basic Swedish 

Time needed:

Introduction 1 hour (digital) – led by Kodcentrum on the 12th of September kl. 16-17 

Workshop 2 hours + 1 hour on site preparation/evaluation  

• x2 if you want to help us out during the morning and afternoon sessions.
